Smartsheet Certified Candidate Agreement

Exam Rules

• You may not use outside resources while taking the exam.
• You must close all other windows on your computer while taking the exam.
• Please put away your phone throughout the exam.
• If you leave the exam, the time will continue to run and will expire after 90 minutes.
• You must agree to the Candidate Agreement to take an exam.

Smartsheet Certified Policies

You may earn a Smartsheet certification only by passing the exam.
To earn a Smartsheet certification and use the corresponding badge, you must meet all prerequisites for that certification and successfully pass the required exam. Smartsheet prohibits the unauthorized reproduction of Smartsheet certifications, badges, or artwork. If you were certified prior to February 2022, you will need to take the current version of the exam to become certified. 

Current Smartsheet certifications do not expire. 
Smartsheet certifications issued since the launch of Smartsheet Certified in February, 2022 are valid, no matter the year on the badge, and do not have an expiration date. We will update each certification and its associated exam when necessary, and we will announce 6 months in advance of the release of an updated exam so that certified candidates may take the new exam if they wish to update their credential. If you were certified prior to February 2022, you will need to take the current version of the exam to become certified. 

Certification exams cost $149 per attempt for associate-level exams, and $199 for solution-level exams.
Each attempt at a Smartsheet certification exam costs $149 for the Core Product and System Administrator exams, and $199 for the Project Management exam. For example, if you fail the Core Product Certification exam once and pass it on your second try, the total cost will be $298.

Promo codes cover only 1 attempt.
Smartsheet certification promo codes can only be used once per person. They cover the cost of only 1 attempt.

You must use only one email address to register for exams.
Certification exams require you to have an account on Smartsheet University. If you have more than 1 account, you may only use 1 account to take an exam. If you take a certification exam with multiple accounts, we reserve the right to revoke your certification.

Smartsheet certification exams are virtually proctored.
Our proctoring tool allows you to take the exams securely and at any time. The tool requires you to share your screen, camera, and location. You must also disable third-party cookie blocking.

Smartsheet certification exams are confidential.
You may not disclose, discuss, reproduce, or publish the contents of Smartsheet certification exams, including the exam questions and their answers, in any forum or medium. 

We reserve the right to revoke the certification of anyone caught engaging in fraudulent activity.
Fraudulent activity includes, but is not limited to, using outside resources while taking the exam, sharing exam questions and/or answers, or creating unauthorized reproductions of Smartsheet certifications or badges. Please refer to the Smartsheet Certified Candidate Agreement for more detail. 

Smartsheet reserves the right to make changes to the Smartsheet Certified program and its policies at any time.
Changes to the Smartsheet Certified program, policies, and the Smartsheet Certified Candidate Agreement go into effect the date they are posted. By participating in the program, you agree to comply with the most recent version of these policies. We will communicate changes to Smartsheet Certified program requirements using the email you used to obtain your certification.
